About Me

Jaysha Patel is a senior at Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in politics. She is currently involved with Ithaca College’s television station, ICTV, as an anchor and reporter on “Newswatch,” Ithaca’s local news show and a host on “Entertainment Exclusive,” an entertainment news show, Jaysha recently interned with NBC4 Los Angeles in the Investigative unit where she went undercover for stories, staked out, and helped reporters with TV and digital consumer, investigative, and long-form stories. She has also interned with CBS2/KCAL9 in the investigative unit where she helped reporter David Goldstein win his most recent Emmy on diploma mills in Los Angeles. During her time in Ithaca, she has had the opportunity to travel to Memphis, Tennessee to work with the NPR affiliate, WKNO, on coverage of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination.  In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog Raja, watching Bollywood movies, and cooking!
